Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in an urban setting. Many of my students are from low-income homes. I love that my students come to school every day and want to learn even though they have many outside obstacles in their way. I want to be able to ensure every child receives an excellent education. With these donations, every child will be academically and emotionally prepared.

My Project

I teach a reading program in hopes to improve my students' reading abilities. Giving them books/graphic novels not connected to the program will make reading fun and memorable and will enhance their learning. My students show growth in their reading when they find books that they like and interest them.

I will be using the box reading sets to promote the love of reading.

This hopefully enhances their desire to read for pleasure.

The everyday classroom supplies will be given to students to have/use in the classroom because many students come to school daily with no supplies.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
