This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Hello!

Remember going to the library to find your favorite book?

Because of this experience as a child, I have become a life-long reader, and I want to be able to foster that love in my students as well. My classroom consists of students from mostly low-income households and children of immigrants.

Our school is located in the South Bronx in a high needs area. My students are smart, capable, ready to learn, and ready to become life-long readers! Together, with your help, we can make reading an amazing experience for my students.

My Project

Having access to exciting books will help my students connect and engage with reading on a deeper, more personal level. Libraries are a safe space that aren't available right now, so it is important the every kid has new books to select from their school library.

A child who reads will be an adult who thinks, and right now, we all need to work together to foster great thinkers!

In these tough times, help me to offer my students a way to escape...to travel to new lands...to meet new characters...and get lost in a good book.
