My third grade students are voracious readers always in search of their next book. It's a teacher's delight to see! We have reached that point in the school year where students are in need of fresh books to dive into, and they have let me know this by creating a list of books they are hungry to read!
Many of the books my students have selected are graphic novels, which are highly engaging for students learning English.
Eight of my 13 students are multi-lingual, and find that the picture support provided in graphic novels aids in reading comprehension.
I want to keep my students' love of reading alive by filling our classroom with books that they are sure to love - - books that represent their interests!
