My Students

Aloha, I'm a teacher in Honolulu, Hawaii. Our third grade Ohana is a very diverse group of students. Many of my students are the sons and daughters of our active duty troops, some have lived in Hawaii all their lives, and some have traveled here from Micronesia, Japan, and China. Their varied backgrounds and culture make for one amazing learning community!

These amazing kids are a curious, resilient, and happy group!

I'm so lucky to spend my days with these awesome children.

My Project

My students will use their book boxes and supply caddies daily during our reading and writing workshop time. Students will keep their textbooks, notebooks, and reading materials in the boxes, which are mobile and easy to maintain. The boxes serve as an organizer for the students to keep all materials neat and accessible when working in groups, independently, or when they are meeting with the teacher.

I strongly believe in the effective impact the Daily 5 program has on student learning.

My classroom will be more clutter free and organized with these boxes. The students will have all their materials in one place, and they will feel more organized and ready for learning.
