My class is an amazing and creative group of students. They love to write stories and do projects. We need a way to print out their work to edit, revise, and publish into final masterpieces. Students love to create and share their hard work, this printer and ink will make it possible. We are very lucky to have Chromebooks in our classroom. We use them to write stories and reports, do individualized educational programs, and conduct research. The revising and editing process can be challenging all online. I'd like the kids to have a printed copy of their work to take to a collaborative writing group. This printer will help my students use computers to create tangible storybooks and projects. It will also help them improve their editing and revising skills by working in collaborative groups to make outstanding finished products. The individualized computer programs help students practice skills on their level, at their pace. The programs generate certificates to recognize hard work and significant achievements. This printer would make it possible for students to print out those certificates and bring them home to share their successes with family. Conducting research online works well for most of my kids. A few of my students need a printed copy of materials though. Having a printer in my room will let those students CHOOSE the materials they want to use for research and then print them out. I can quickly increase font and double space information so that it is accessible to all of my students. It will also allow students with no internet access at home to take home information to continue working on their projects. I can't wait too see all the stories, books, and projects these authors can create!
