My Project

As a teacher in a low-income, Title I school, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Our school is a Title I school with many that receive a free or reduced-price breakfast/lunch based on their socioeconomic status. My students range from above grade level to below grade level, yet, are always willing to give their best effort. I have a smaller class this year and it is fun to allow them choices to work independently and items to make my job quicker for me to spend more time spend time with them.

This project has odds and ends that will save time in our daily routines.

The labeler will help the student find which items are in which drawer. This will also help return items to their drawer so others can find them. Extra tapes to finish the year. The stapler keeps papers together and the C-Strip sorter will save me time with filing papers. The tower power strip helps with all the plug-ins and the lack of plugs in our room. The hooks and double-sided tape are to hang kid work or examples for the kids. Magnet/whiteboard sentence strips are for posting work or examples of handwriting, then erasing and using again. Lastly, there are the sensory strips that can be used for the fidgety child that needs that extra sensory.
