Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are friendly, excited, and eager to learn! They are English Learners and live in an impoverished part of town. Regardless of this, they come to school with the ambition to grow and learn.

Students at my school work so incredibly hard each day.

I admire their persistence and dedication, even when expectations might seem out of reach. They truly deserve to be rewarded for their tenacity.

They are an inspiration to me as they work so incredibly hard considering what the past year and a half was like for them.

My Project

My students love to go out for P.E. when we get the chance. We have done kickball and frisbee only because of the limited resources that we have. Most of our basketballs and soccer balls are flat, so the pump would be incredibly helpful so the kids can make use of those.

Giving my students more variety for PE will increase their excitement and willingness to go out and play.

With only a limited number of options, it is understandable that my students would want something new. With the addition of dodgeballs, a whiffle ball set, and a ball pump, my students will be more excited to get out, play, and try something new!
