My Project

My young students love hands-on learning opportunities, and I love the idea of them working in small groups and learning to interact appropriately with their peers. They love STEM time in our classroom because they are having so much fun, that they don't even realize they are actually learning so many important things while "playing." These new STEM activities will be great to offer some new learning opportunities in my classroom.

Using magnetic blocks and pipes and tubes, students will have to come up with a plan, build, and change things as needed to make sure their creation is developing the way they want it to.

My young students will be creating, designing, and building using so many problem-solving and thinking skills along the way. I also love that these new activities have little pictures that give them some ideas for those students who need a little help getting started. Other students can just totally come up with a design on their own. There is no wrong or right way to build. My young students will have lots of fun using these for many years to come.
