My Students

My students are primarily minorities. All of my students receive free or reduced-price lunch. They have chosen to attend our academy because it is small and designed to help students to acquire missed skills and move to grade level mastery.

My students are lacking the basic needs to sustain a healthy lifestyle.

Most people cannot imagine running out of the essentials such as soap and toothpaste. My students do not need to imagine it, they are living it daily. However, they do not complain, instead they preserve and somehow make it work.

My students are creative and learning to use critical thinking to solve problems. The problem of not having the basics is difficult for them to solve on their own.

My Project

My students are creative and learning to use critical thinking to solve problems. The problem of not having the basics is difficult for them to solve on their own.

I would like to give each student a brand new uniform shirt to help them build their confidence and self-esteem.
