This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In a pre-k classroom, it is important to have an environment that varies in its' offerings in the area of fine motor development. Young hands and fingers need multiple and engaging experiences in order to develop their fine motor muscles, hopefully leading to a proficient and confident young writer one day. Our classroom was recently funded a set of alphabetic light up tiles for tracing. The next step in our wish for a new fine motor experience is the table top, light up table that accompanies these light up tiles. Having a light up table in the classroom will benefit my students by providing novelty to ensure engagement and by providing an adaptable resource to help develop their fine motor and writing skills.
