Help me give my students stuffed animals to ease anxiety and calm them when they are overwhelmed.

My Project

Many of my students have big feelings but do not know how to express themselves and it comes out in a variety of needs far beyond academic struggles. No one has taught them how to handle their big feelings.

No one likes being upset and even adults need someone to listen and make them feel better at times.

This being said, it is so important that our classroom has opportunities to help students with whatever they are struggling with in a calming and productive way.

The stuffed learning buddies requested will create a sense of comfort for each student when they come to school and when they are struggling. Students will be able to share their feelings with their stuffed buddy. We will store the buddies in the oval containers when they are not being used to calm a student.
