Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Help us catch up to the current technological age! The world around us is run by gadgets, my students included. My students are yearning to get their hands on the technology that many other kids their age have at home.

My students are wonderful.

They are smart, and funny and eager to learn. Despite all of these wonderful qualities, my students are in serious need. Most of my students are living in poverty, and have very little support at home. Our school is a Title 1 school, and the majority of the students are receiving free or reduced lunch. My students do not have the luxury of technology at home. This is why it is so important that they are provided the opportunities to use current technology in the classroom.

My Project

Using the iPad2 will help introduce my students to new age technologies that many other students their age are already using. It will allow them to get involved in subjects in a non-standard way. They will be learning in a fun, hands on way. Children nowadays play fast paced video games to keep their interest. Using this technology will help to capture my students interest in a fun, game like way.

The Apple iPad2 will be like celebrating Christmas every day for my students.

Not only will it help introduce current technology into my students lives, but it will also allow me to introduce multiplication, division, reading comprehension, in a fun and new age way. There are endless possibilities for my students. Everything is a touch away!
