Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My Pre-K students are curious, energetic, and eager to learn. Every day they walk into our classroom excited to discover something new, whether they're learning their letters, exploring math concepts, creating artwork, or building friendships. As an inclusion classroom, my students have a wide range of learning needs and abilities, so creating a welcoming, organized, and engaging environment is essential to helping every child succeed.

The resources in this project will help transform our classroom into a space where students feel safe, valued, and ready to learn from the very first day of school.

Name tags will help students quickly recognize their belongings and develop name recognition. File folders will be used to organize student work, assessments, and important classroom materials. Bulletin board borders, bulletin board photo displays, and new curtains for our storage closet will create a bright, inviting, and organized learning environment that encourages curiosity and pride in our classroom.

An ink printer will allow me to print classroom visuals, learning materials, family communication, and photos of student learning that can be displayed throughout the room. Laminating sheets will help preserve classroom signs, center activities, visual schedules, games, and other frequently used materials so they can withstand daily use all year long. Tape will allow us to proudly display student artwork, anchor charts, and educational resources that celebrate learning and make our classroom feel like home.
