Graduation is important because it represents a milestone in young children's lives. During the ceremony the children will be able to show their parents what they have learned in pre- k, such as; letter recognition, numbers, counting, opposites, sign language, colors, shapes, and what being kind really means. The cap and gowns will make a difference for graduation because the children will be uniformed and dressed for the program. Cap and gown also symbolizes an accomplishment, completion and transition to another level in their lives which is kindergarten. The children are very excited to perform for their parents on June 5. They have been working really hard practicing their graduation songs. The parents are also very excited to see their children perform. The parents have been working closely with graduation as well; with programs, setting up the stage, making creative props and getting the kids to school on time to practice for the.
