Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our school, the library is open to students before school so they can come in to work in our Makerspace with STEAM activities. The library is also opened for students to come read, return, and check out books before school and at lunch recess. I enjoy watching them being fully engaged and excited each time they come in.

My primary goal is to teach teachers to seek or accept help/support when needed especially when they are in the library with me.

Since this month's Times for Kids mission is to promote wellness, I want students to give out wellness gifts during Read Across America Week to other students at our school. The wellness gifts will consist of a bookmark, pencil, eraser, or a bracelet in a wrapped-up cellophane gift bag. These gift bags will be a perfect way to show students that everyone at school is thrilled for them to do their best each and every day.
