In our school, the library is open to scholars before and after school so they can come in to work on STEAM activities. I enjoy watching them being fully engaged and excited each time they come in. Scholars can earn an Eagle Buck for being respectful, responsible and being safe at our campus. ...I love that idea, however, I would like to teach scholars more...teach them about financial responsibility as well instead of just learning to follow school and library rules. I want to give my scholars Eagle Bucks for creating amazing STEAM projects. Also for working together, sharing and for clean up once they are done. Many of them have been asking me to find new puzzles and building blocks like the ones I am requesting. These puzzles and building blocks will help me promote financial literacy each time they enter the library. Each month, our school offers an "Eagle Buck Store" where scholars can trade in their money for fun trinkets and cute items they can take home to have and for an "Eagle Buck Party. What a great opportunity for me to help them earn more money.
