More importantly, they are learning that obstacles can be overcome through effort, determination, and practice.\r\n\r\nThese hurdles are also helping us prepare students for our annual district track and field meet, giving them the opportunity to train with equipment that mirrors what they will experience in competition. A little bit of last week and this week, I was able to print out notes for \"change of clothes\" bags; signs for our anchor charts; 2027 calendar books for Christmas gift the students will be giving to their families with their hands (handprint crafts); new schedule and calendar labels and lots of photo cards (vocabulary cards) for the whole school year to use in our writing center. Every summer, I try to get everything ready for my new students and their families so they can have a successful first year of school experience. I'm planning to print more things out for our different activities in our centers. The paper is a lifesaver!
