By 5th grade, either students love to read and have a passion for good books, or they despise the thought of even picking up a book to read. I want to instill in my students a love for reading and a desire to read a book just for fun and not because they "have" to for homework. I want these 5th graders to get excited about learning something new through reading, or taking off into an adventure when they open up a book. These bean bags that I want for my classroom could just be the answer to the question that I ask each and every year: why do 5th graders not like to read? Give these kids somewhere fun and relaxing to sit and dive into a good book and maybe that love for reading will be sparked and ignite a new flame in these students. I have always wanted to provide my students with an area for them to "get into" reading, and your generous donations could be the way to help these kids find a new love for books and reading.
