It is amazing and cute to see how my students mimic the story in the same tone and expression when I put books we read into our classroom library area. This reading skill is an important step in becoming a successful reader because they can enjoy a story without the pressure of figuring out every word themselves. Reading books aloud is a great way to remind our students that we also read for enjoyment. My students are given the opportunity to draw/write about their favorite part of the story in their daily writing journal. As the year progresses, I hope to have my class use the listening area to listen to stories that we can re-enact as a classroom play to share with their friends from other classes.\r\n\r\nThank you for your generosity and for making a difference in my classroom. I discussed the word \"generosity\" upon receiving these packages with my students. You all have shown us the true meaning of this word. My students couldn't believe that there are people, like you, out there who would give a gift like this to someone they do not even know.
