So far, we have used the whiteboard to function as two different things. One side as a whiteboard for us to write one and the other side is used as a pocket chart holder. It was like Christmas morning to see them so excited! They couldn't wait to open it up and to see what was inside. The students were asking a ton of questions wondering how to use the Build-A-Path and Engineering-A-Coaster.\r\n\r\nDuring or free exploration time in the morning and at the end of the day, I have been having the students use them without me telling them what to do or how to use it. I wanted them to explore on their own first before I begin giving them a lesson on how to make them work. It is amazing to see what they created on their own. My students love our marble run we current have from Lakeshore. The Build-A-Path and Engineering-A-Coaster is just like the marble run but against a magnetic board and students can see how the red balls does down the path instead of on the floor. It is amazing to see them make connections about how the kits you got us are like the marble run. Most importantly, love watching them use their critical thinking skills and problem solving skill to finger out how to make the kits work on their own with their classmates. They were so happy and excited. I told them that we will use the fake flowers and glue sticks to make their own flower corsage/bracelet. I can already see the giggles and laughter on my students' faces when the time comes for them to design their own flower corsage.\r\n\r\nThe Picasso tiles double sided magnetic drawing boards are going to help my students to not just encourage learning how to write their upper case letters and numbers but improve their fine motor skills. I had them tried it out the other day and the were fascinated by how the magnetic pieces moved while they use the pens.
