Promoting Engagement in the Classroom

My Students

My third graders are energetic, enthusiastic, and inquisitive. They love to be creative and to participate in hands-on lessons. My students come to school each day eager to learn and ready to be challenged.

My students come from all walks of life, and each contribute unique ideas and personality to our classroom community.

Some are just learning to speak English while others are just learning to multiply. Some are learning to spell while others are writing paragraphs. Being their teacher is an exciting and joyful experience.

My Project

Individual supplies and materials are a must during the pandemic. Thirty sets of headphones will provide each one of my students with their own set to use throughout the year. The attached microphone will allow for students to use tools such as speech to text and audio/video responses when completing online assignments.

Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning, promotes engagement, and lessens disruptions in the classroom.

The lap desks and exercise ball that I have requested will provide my students with more choices for seating, and provide opportunities to make more effective learning choices.
