Printing Ideas

Help me give my students filament for their new 3D printer so they can print their ideas.

My Students

Technology is extremely prevalent in the lives of young children today. The available jobs in the tech field are much greater than the qualified applicants to fill them. In my STEM classroom, students are exposed to all different types of experiences. Students within my school are super excited when they know it's time for their STEM class or robotics club. The upper grades (6-7) focus on app development, green architecture, and robotics.

The students that I have are young, focused individuals that have a real interest in going into a STEM career.

The desire for learning is evident and the material learned in this class offers an opportunity that they may not have otherwise. I stress the importance of succeeding and to move beyond past what is expected. This is what makes my students successful. This is what makes my students unique.

My Project

The materials in this project will directly help students take their ideas from 2 dimensions into 3 dimensions. The filament that is used in our 3D printer will help take student designs from their computer aided design (CAD) programs and make it a tangible item for them to have.

The materials in this project will allow students to take turn their ideas into a tangible product.

It is truly rewarding to see the look on their faces when the 3D printer is printing and I can't wait to see the look on their faces when their designs come to life.
