Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is filled with 20 amazing students. Every morning, they overcome the obstacles they face and walk into school with smiles on their faces; most greet me with big hugs. We are a Title I school with the best students.

My students are happy and excited to come to school because we have created a classroom that makes learning fun and interactive.

They are always eager to get to work right away and they work so hard but would benefit greatly from some additional supplies.

My Project

There is no better way to teach fractions than with pizza!!

With these supplies, our entire 3rd-grade level team would be able to transform our rooms and create a hands-on learning experience through making pizzas!

Creating our own real-life pizzeria, our students would practice making paper pizzas until the grand finale of real pizzas in their boxes! Teaching our students about fractions, while enjoying one of their favorite foods would be a great way to wrap up our fractions unit! Whether it's with cheese, pepperoni, or anchovies - our students will learn fractions!!
