Help me give my students a phonics skills series short vowel program to help them learn short vowels in CVC words to reach closed syllable pattern mastery.

My Students

Enthusiastic, energetic, empathetic, creative, inclusive, and motivated are a few words that come to mind when thinking about the learners in my class. As an intervention teacher, I am given the opportunity to work with different students in a range of grades. I feel incredibly grateful to be able to interact with students who are curious, passionate, and so thoughtful. These students desire to succeed, and I consider it a gift that I am allowed to coach them and provide new pathways to success.

My Project

As a Reading Interventionist, I am always looking for ways to improve the reading skills of all students. I believe that reading is one of the most important skills students must learn if they are to be successful in school and in life. My students often need to learn things in a different way than their peers. The 95 Phonics Skill Series™: Short Vowels will help them learn the way that makes sense to their brain.

Helping students learn to read is such an exciting and rewarding job.

During the pandemic, I studied a variety of ways to improve reading skills for older students. I realize they need to work on phonics and fluency, in addition to vocabulary and comprehension.

The 95 Phonics Skill Series™: Short Vowels helps students, across all grade levels, proficiently read CVC words through 20-minute lessons that reinforce the closed syllable pattern through word sorting, sound-spelling mapping with and without phonics chips, fluency, word chains, sentence dictation, and decodable passages.

In order to be effective in these additional skills, I'm looking to add The 95 Phonics Skill Series™: Short Vowels to my teaching kit. These will allow me to be fast and effective in my interventions so we don't waste a single minute!
