Organizing Our Creativity

Help me give my students a means of organizing our creativity, as we have very little storage in our room right now. If you've ever been in an art room, you know just how important that is!

My Students

My students are hilarious, vibrant creatives. I started teaching art this year and we've become such a close-knit group in that time. Many of them work long hours outside of school, while others are vital caregivers to their families, so it's amazing to see them engage with art and let their creativity shine. There is something so wonderful about the shift I've seen in them, and the once-blank walls of our art room are decorated with student art and hand-painted murals.

Their confidence has grown from fumbling through projects to diving in head-first and creating gorgeous, unique works all on their own.

Now, they request to do new things that they see online! I've even encouraged students to start learning the business side of art, because they are so talented that they truly have a future in that regard. But from the art hobbyists to those who are dedicated to using it to expand their future careers, all students have increased their creativity and experienced the calming benefits of a daily art class.

My Project

Organization and creativity are the two most important aspects of any art room. When kids want to know where things are, it's been hard to direct them because everything must stay out on tables. While I've contributed my own money and scoured garage sales for more storage, I can't express how far a beautiful organization system will go. My students aren't messy; they just don't have a place to put things.

Then, we have my students' most requested item!

Posca paint pens. I bought a couple packs myself earlier this year and they've found so many incredible uses for them, from customizing their clothing to accenting gorgeous paintings to painting murals on our classroom walls. Help us create a more colorful, organized art room by contributing to this project. I can't wait to show you what we do with it!
