Help me give my students the ability to utilize classroom time by staying organized with materials. Additionally, save my students' physical health by giving my students the opportunity to store classroom materials at school.

My Project

I teach two amazing classes of fifth graders. Because I am part of a departmentalized team, my students switch classrooms every other day. Because of this schedule, students must take all their school materials with them when they leave each day. These fifth graders have multiple resources to use every day: reading notebook, math notebook, math book, ELA workbooks, writing journals, trackers and supplies. By using storage boxes, students will be able to store most of these items at school. This will not only save their physical health by not having to bring so many materials home, students will be more organized during the class day.

By using storage boxes in the classroom, students will be able to work more effectively and efficiently during the school day.

They will have all their materials organized and stored within the classroom. Additionally, students will not have to take most of their materials home. This will greatly reduce the amount of weight these kids are expected to carry home. This will significantly reduce back pain and strain when so many of our kiddos walk home from school.
