My Students

This is my first year of having the honor of teaching a classroom full of 1st graders! My students are sweet, creative, full of energy, and always ready to share a smile. They love books, storytime, hands-on learning, and showing me when they have figured out a difficult problem or mastered a new skill.

My Project

The seat sacks will provide students with tools to promote organization skills. Our students have notebooks, laptops, library books, and academic workbooks and they are spread out throughout the classroom. The seat sacks will alleviate this problem and give students more space which will promote a clean and welcoming environment.

The chair pockets will help maximize instruction time and limit time wasted by taking turns retrieving materials and keep materials protected, clean and safe.

Supplies will be easily kept on the back of each student's chair, but out of the hands of other students. This will greatly reduce the spread of germs, coughs, and colds within the classroom. Hopefully with a little extra emphasis on good hygiene and cleanliness, my students will be able to attend school safely.
