My Students

The students in my classroom all come from such different backgrounds, yet we have turned our classroom into our third grade family. I teach at a low income school that is 100% free lunch. We have many different cultures, races, and languages represented in our classroom and we celebrate them all! My students love to learn through hands on activities and experiences, but unfortunately we are not in our physical classroom yet.

My Project

I need to make a hard year easier for my students! I will be teaching from my home, where other adults will also be working from home, and need high quality headphones with a microphone. Air pods will help reduce distractions for both my students and myself. I have also found that students are more engaged in math when we are able to work through problems together. In order to do this I will need to be able to print the worksheets that are provided with the curriculum. I will then be able to write and work through the problems on a document camera while the students follow along in their notebooks. I also have a wide array of student abilities and need to be able to give students work that is at their level and that they are able to work on independently. This will be possible with a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card. I will use this to buy resources as well as visual manipulatives (ex. fraction circle posters) for my students to use as needed.
