My Students

Our school consists of over 800 students in preschool through fifth grade. Over half of our population is considered low income and qualifies for free or reduced lunch. Our school represents a wide range of cultures, including African American, American Indian, Hawaiian, Hispanic, Cuban, Asian, and more.

Many students receive English Language Learning services, as their native language is not English.

Our staff works hard to support all of our students and provide them with a quality education, despite their many hardships.

My students range from kindergarten to second grade. All of my students have learning difficulties, social/emotional problems, live in poverty, and most qualify for free lunch. My kids work very hard to overcome their weaknesses they are born into.

My Project

With learning comes many games, reading magazines, math manipulatives, supplies, and beyond. Having all of these means we need a place to store them. Giving my students the responsibility of putting away materials means the storage cabinet needs to be short and at their reach.

This two drawer locking cabinet will allow us to store all of our materials needed for learning, while keeping them safe and organized.

Teaching my students the art of organization, while also learning our everyday concepts and curriculum is a skill they can take into the "outside world." Please help me instill that skill in my students!
