My Project

My students bring a wide range of experiences, abilities, and learning styles to the classroom. Providing each student with an individual pair of headphones will help ensure that all learners have access to the tools they need to be successful throughout the school year.

Many of my students utilize Chromebook-based lessons that include videos, audio recordings, and other digital learning resources.

However, some students struggle to focus on these activities when classroom conversations and other environmental noises create distractions. What is intended to be an individualized learning experience can quickly lose its effectiveness when students are unable to clearly hear and engage with the content.

Providing each student with their own pair of headphones will allow them to minimize distractions, focus on instruction, and fully engage in learning activities. These headphones will support differentiated instruction, promote student independence, and create a more equitable learning environment where all students can access content in a way that meets their individual needs.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
