My Project

I am a Special Education teacher who works with amazing students ranging from ninth to twelfth grade. Each of my students has varied learning abilities and are working on daily life skills. I want them to be ready for life after high school.

As I look to the new school year I am looking to make sure my students have all the supplies they need for their yearly Thanksgiving Feast.

This is an amazing learning experience for my students. They each invite a staff member to our Thanksgiving Feast, plan the menu, shop for the food, cook the meal, and host their guests. As individuals who are preparing for life after high school this is an amazing life skill to work on.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
