My Project

I am a Special Education teacher in rural Michigan who works with amazing students ranging from ninth to twelfth grade. Each of my students has varied learning abilities and are working on daily life skills. I want them to be ready for life after high school.

I teach life skills in a self contained CI classroom.

Learning how to cook basic meals is a valuable life skill. I hope to help my students gain confidence in the kitchen which will help them as they move towards independence in life. The materials in this project will allow my students to become familiar with basic kitchen items and how to use them properly.

They will also learn how to cook basic meals that will help them become independent adults. They enjoy working in our kitchen, but the supplies we have are limited. This will help them expand their knowledge.
