My Project

One crucial child development area in which we as educators need to invest time, effort, modeling and good resources is their “Social Emotional” area. Our children need to be able to recognize, understand, manage, and describe each emotion and feeling.

Having specific resources to target self regulation, understanding of behaviors, management of emotions will help my students strengthen their social-emotional development.

The Little Spot of Feelings books as well as the other books will be used as read alouds, lesson engagement resources, discovering books in the Calm-Spot area, and will be available to enjoy as a good read during free reading time.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
