Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our classroom is an integrated classroom including children with all types of needs such as social-emotional, behavior, speech development, developmental delay, and Autism. We have one class with 20 children, ages 4-5, with all sorts of different levels of needs. Preschool and early learning is incredibly important for our children, especially after this year of learning at home. We try our hardest to provide these amazing, inquisitive minds with as many opportunities and experiences as we can at school and in the classroom.

Most of our students come from low income families and don't have the resources at home for hands on play and learning.

We want to make sure our students get the education and experiences they deserve with the supplies and materials needed in school. By engaging the children with games and hands on math and literacy fun with friends, we are encouraging and supporting many goals needed to work towards kindergarten.

My Project

If this project is funded, we will give our students as many hands-on learning experiences as we can in a playful and exciting way. All of the interesting and inviting games will not only give the children a fun way of learning about literacy and math, but encourage their social-emotional needs as well by supporting conversation and interaction with friends. Our students are in need of social interactions (playful learning experiences) as well as literacy, math, and science to enhance their learning, especially after the year at home. All of the hands-on learning materials support the needs of our individual students with fun and inviting activities and materials.
