Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students love learning, creating, and gathering together in the school library. It is the heart of our school where students read, research, collaborate, participate in special activities, and explore their creativity. They come to the library excited to learn and eager to participate in hands-on experiences.

Unfortunately, our library’s air conditioning system often stops working, leaving the room extremely hot and uncomfortable.

During warmer months, it becomes difficult for students to focus, stay engaged, and fully enjoy the many activities that take place in this important space. A portable air conditioner and fans will help create a cool, comfortable environment where students can concentrate, read, and learn without distraction.

In addition to improving comfort, we are requesting a DJI Osmo Pocket camera to bring creativity and technology into our students’ learning experiences. Students will use the camera to create videos, record presentations, document school events, and develop storytelling and communication skills. This resource will help students build confidence while learning valuable digital media skills that encourage collaboration and creativity.

Our students deserve a learning environment where they feel comfortable, inspired, and excited to participate every day. With these resources, our library will continue to be a welcoming space where students can stay cool, creative, and engaged in learning.
