My Students

My students attend a NYC public school in East Elmhurst, Queens. Their ages range from 4-10 years old. They come from diverse backgrounds and cultures from around the world, which gives our school community the feel of a big NYC melting pot.

My students are eager to use educational technology and participate in hands-on STEM projects!

We are a Title I school without any STEM resources, so funding for my project would mean my students would be able to participate in meaningful hands-on learning.

My Project

It is no secret my students LOVE technology and learn best when they are engaged hands on! This class/school set of iPads will allow them to thrive. With technology in their hands, students will practice their coding skills at all levels using educational apps, preparing them for future projects coding robots. (Smart devices are required for use with coding robots) Receiving these iPads would be an amazing opportunity for children in my school who may not otherwise have access to technology. If the project is funded it would be game changing for our school! These would be the very first set of tablets EVER to be used in our school!
