My Project

100% of my student population is minority as well as over 50% of my students are English language learners. Students come to my class often struggling with enjoying to read. I am constantly wanting to find new books for my students to engage in. I want to use them to help my students think at higher levels but also just for simple enjoyment and as they grow as readers. I have a very diverse group of students who enjoy a variety of texts. I have many English language learners who are just learning what it means to be a reader in English while I have some students who fly through books and are dying for the next engaging graphic novel. These texts will help give my classroom library new life and help my students continue to build on their love of literacy.
