My Students

My students come to me every day with obstacles and hurdles that many of us can only imagine. Many are from single parent homes or are being raised by someone other than a parent.

They have difficult lives, but have the desire to learn and want to please you.

They are "hard" on the outside, but when you break down the walls, they will bend over back wards to make you proud.

My students want and deserve an education that will prepare them and help them break the chains of poverty that affect so many in the community that I serve.

I have good kids, inquisitive kids, curious kids, kids that have a desire to learn.

My Project

It is a proven fact that students learn better through hands-on, engaging activities and what better way to do that than through S.T.E.A.M. activities.

As the only science/social studies teacher in my school, I need materials to foster my students thinking abilities.

Whether it be LEGOs, Microscopes, or human body puzzles, my students need to be able to look at things, touch things, and manipulate things to help with the learning process.

Science is supposed to be fun and I want to give my students the opportunity to see the world from a scientist's eyes. These items will hopefully foster the love of science in some of them and spark a flame that will develop our future scientists for years to come!
