My Project

I work with students from kindergarten to 4th grade in the resource setting. My school is a Title I school, and 70% of our students are economically disadvantaged. In the resource classroom, we have 40 students. I am a special education teacher, and my students have learning disabilities. I want my students to have snacks available to them in the classroom and available to take home in their backpacks so that they can have a snack when they get home after school.

My job as a resource teacher is to help my students become successful in a class by providing them with the tools that will help them regain their self-confidence.

Snacks such as Cheetos, pretzels, and gummies, goldfish will help me provide these to the students when they are hungry. When the students are not hungry they have optimal brain functioning and hence they will be successful in the classroom and at home. These snacks will help my students focus on their work and progress in the classroom.
