My Project

This project will provide my high school students with comfortable chairs that offer better cushioning and back support than traditional classroom seating. Students often spend long class periods completing assignments, participating in discussions, working on projects, and listening to instruction. Sitting in hard or uncomfortable chairs can make it difficult for students to maintain healthy posture and remain focused throughout the lesson.

The chairs will help make our classroom more collaborative and flexible since students will be able to reposition themselves more easily for partner activities, small-group discussions, peer feedback, simulations, and collaborative projects.

Comfortable seating can be especially helpful for students who have difficulty remaining focused while sitting for extended periods. When students are not distracted by physical discomfort, they can devote more attention to participating, collaborating, and completing their work.
