My Students

We are an inclusive general education room with four students diagnosed with Autism. Their typically-developing peers are incredibly kind and represent the diversity in Lansdowne, Maryland.

Our class is full of students who believe in themselves.

We work hard, we have fun, and most of all, we love learning! I am looping up with these students from kindergarten because I just couldn't stand to say goodbye.

We are excited to move to first grade together and have the best year ever!

My Project

When we finally return to school, students will have to remember what a full day of school feels like again! To support their transition back to school, flexible seating options will help them remain focused.

They will need extra support with their behavior as well a social emotional development to acclimate back to school life.

They will be used to being home and learning through a computer when we return to the school building. We need to help students learn how to channel their energy productively, and flexible seating can do just that.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
