Help me give my students strong learning tools and centers to advance their math and language skills. Having the support of a wireless microphone with speaker will allow students to project during class presentations and reading aloud.
My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take on tough challenges in order to grow both personally and academically.
Our school strives to build leadership in each of our students.
Students are reminded that each and every student has capabilities, talents, and strengths; sometimes, all it takes is exposure and motivation while providing a learning environment that they learn best.
This year, my class consists of 34 amazing students all of which will have varied learning styles. Some will be English learners, some will receive resource services, some will be advanced learners, some will have behavior plans, and some will be new to our school and our community. All will be encouraged to do their personal best and contribute to our classroom community.
My goal is to incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are!
My Project
Our classroom is in need of engaging center activities for students that finish early, students that need extra practice attaining a skill, and students to socially engage in academically rich activities. These resources will allow my students to stay engaged in their learning outside paper and pencil lessons.
Using these resources as centers in my classroom will encourage students to apply their skills, increase their knowledge, and build their academic confidence.
The overall goal is to keep students engaged in learning past whole group instruction. These resources will encourage my students to practice their skills and foster their ability to collaborate in these interactive activities. Students that are noticeably more engaged in their work are less disruptive of their peers creating a harmonious academic environment to learn in.
I have seen how independent and small group learning opportunities can positively affect each student's classwork and hope that these resources escalate the love of learning!
