Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work with amazing and resilient second language students in grades 4 through 8. They rely on me for that extra push in their language arts development.

We work primarily on improving their listening and speaking skills.

Vocabulary building is emphasized including the essential academic vocabulary that they tend to be missing. They benefit from small group instruction where they are given plenty of opportunity for oral language development.

My Project

Teachers learn and grow from observing other seasoned teachers. Teachers Pay Teachers is an excellent resource for finding great materials to enhance my teaching. There is an endless supply of materials that I can use with my students.

Another benefit of using this platform is that teachers are supporting their peers for their ideas and resources.

It's a win win for all! The lessons purchased will be used in my classroom for grades four through eight. I plan to purchase lessons and activities that will aid in the development of second language learners' oral communication skills.
