At our school students learn within an active and fun atmosphere. In my second grade classroom, I use humor, physical activity, and hands-on techniques to engage my students in learning the basics. Many of my students are English language learners and it is vital to their education to have hands-on materials that they can see and touch. Otherwise, there is no comprehension. Also, my school has many students on the free and reduced lunch program, which means that their home lives are also not as enriched as possible. This brings the responsibility on me. Won't you please help me to bring the wonderful world of measurement to my students?
