My Project

The materials in this request will significantly expand the range of engaging, hands-on activities available to students in a Title I school counseling program. Creative tools such as a Cricut Maker 3, canvas panels, beads, and dot markers will give students meaningful opportunities to express emotions, build coping skills, and explore their identities through art-based counseling interventions. These interactive approaches help transform counseling sessions into safe, creative spaces where students feel more comfortable participating and connecting.

For many students, words are the hardest part—but creativity opens the door.

These materials provide alternative pathways for students who may struggle with verbal expression, allowing them to communicate feelings, process experiences, and share their perspectives in ways that feel natural and accessible. By engaging in hands-on activities, students can build self-confidence, strengthen emotional awareness, and develop essential social-emotional skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.
