My Project

I am a Sixth Grade Reading Teacher in a Middle School. I work with 130 students daily to help them be successful readers.

Having snacks and juice would be wonderful incentives for our Grade 6 Team at my Middle School in order to build community.

Building up the community within our school is so important.

I want to make an inclusive team for our Sixth Grade Team. Our students are all coming from different Elementary Schools and do not know each other.

I would love to have monthly meetings with our students so they can interact and develop friendships that will continue in the community. I want to offer time during the day for students to get together and make meaningful bonds. We will offer Skinny Pop Popcorn, Rice-Krispy Treats, Frito Lay Chips, and several different flavors of Tropicana Juice Bottles for the participants.

My team of teachers will each take part in the gatherings for our inclusive get-together to foster community within our middle school. Inclusion matters in this world. Everyone should feel included especially in Middle School. I want to help foster relationships that will last well into high school and beyond for our youth.
