Coloring In High School Is Educational

My students need 4 high school coloring books to become more familiar with the details of cells, plants, animals, and the cycles in nature.

My Students

Sometime you have just got to color in order to understand Earth Science. I hope to help my students understand cells, plants, animals, and the cycles in nature better by coloring. Students should remember these topics better after dealing with the detail in these drawings.

I teach freshmen at an at-risk high school and want to make my class as fun and exciting as possible since they must pass my class to graduate.

Students love it when we do different activities while learning. I try to alter what we do to keep them interested and attentive. Although I teach at an at-risk school, my students will still compete with all other high school students to get into college. I want them to have every edge I can possibly provide for them.

My Project

These coloring books have much detail in the drawings since they are geared toward high school students. The topics covered are the topics in my Earth and Environmental Science curriculum. The Ecology component supports their biology class which is required the following year. This will aid in helping prepare them for many of the vocabulary terms. The visuals will help with the class discussions and note taking. The coloring will help the students learn specifically to what the term refers. I enjoy trying different things in the classroom to interest my students. This is a different format to use. I believe it is an opportunity to learn while having fun.
