My students are amazingly brilliant, funny, artistic and creative. They walk into class singing and dancing every day. My students are kind and empathetic and care deeply about the issues plaguing society right now. They are incredibly inquisitive and ask questions that are deep and thought provoking. They have expressed hopes that their science classes will be a place not only to learn science but that they can learn more about the world around them by engaging in real life problems and scenarios. And in Bioethics there is no shortage of real life problems!
We really need some Chromebooks as a back-up technology for students to use during Bioethics class. Many times by the time students arrive to class their batteries have died, and they cannot access some of the materials in Google Classroom. This technology will help support all students who just need a little back up in their life from time to time. The Chromebooks will also help students who have lost their technology before they come to class and need to borrow one temporarily. Access to technology is incredibly invaluable to accomplish my mission of sustaining a paperless classroom. This allows me to spend more time designing engaging lessons and supporting students in more impactful ways.
