My Project

Many of our students come from low-income households and do not have access to reading materials that are both interesting to them and on a level they can understand. By purchasing a variety of high-interest, low-level books and graphic novels, we can open our students up to a whole new idea of what it means to be a reader.

By adding these titles to our library collection, our students will have access to literature that represents their diversity and honors their various interests and reading levels.

This will give students the chance to work on their reading skills and levels of understanding at their own pace. This list of books ensures all students will be able to find a book they are interested in, as well as find success in their reading ability! When you love what you are reading, you naturally want to share that book joy with others! Sharing book joy leads to building a strong reading community.
