My Students

My students love to learn and enjoy reading. They love coming to the library to borrow books, hear stories, and work on research projects.

However, my students are faced with many challenges on a daily basis in and out of school.

We are a low-income, high poverty Title I school located in Delaware. At our school, we try our best to make our students feel that they are important and loved. We try to provide the best for our students at all times.

My Project

I would like help funding a project to build a library of diverse books for our students. My students come from a variety of backgrounds and our library is out of date when it comes to representing who we teach and the community we serve.

We as a staff work hard at making sure our students succeed as learners and provide a learning environment that encourages life long learning.

Every book selected for this list was requested by a student or staff member. The books will help all in understanding who our students are and the topics we face in and out of the classroom.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
