My Project

These books will continue to enhance the booktastic environment I try and provide for my students. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy-I let them pick the books they can read and they reach for these classics over and over again! (I say classics, but some of these choices are only a few years old, they are just such a part of our classroom community.) Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read; but sometimes we need multiple copies of something or a student need to take a book home. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind-I know them as readers and what they reach for in my classroom.

With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that I know they are going to love.

They will also be able to choose books that challenge them in just the right way because of their reading levels. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
